Hotel and Leisure Sectors Demand Evac+Chair

Sunday, July 01, 2007

Evac+Chair International has witnessed an increase in demand for its Evac+Chair from the hotel and leisure market.

The company attributes the rise to the introduction of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order (RRO) in October 2006 and to the successful launch of its low cost rental and service package at Leisure Industry Week.

Managing director Barry Scholes said, “ More and more hoteliers and leisure owners are choosing our Evac+Chair because it is a safe and cost-effective means of complying with part of the RRO. This states that plans have to include emergency procedures to cover evacuating people with mobility difficulties from upper floors when the stairway is the only means of escape.”

He continued, “ The launch of our low cost rental and service package at Leisure Industry Week has also boosted sales of our chair in the hotel and leisure market because it allows these sectors, which are often affected by budgetary constraints, to be instantly fully compliant with such self regulatory acts.”

The Evac+Chair rental package is a first for its market and can be taken over a three or five year period. Annual servicing of the chairs is included in the package with no finance charge and so is interest free and inflation proof for the whole of the rental period.

Manufactured in the UK, to exacting, market-leading standards, the Evac+Chair enables a single user to evacuate a person of up to 150kg quickly and easily using continuous belts to provide controlled descent over stair nosings in proportion to passenger weight.

Evac+Chair International offers a complete Turn-Key solution including site assessment, training courses and nationwide on-site servicing of the chairs.
